James has spent nearly two decades working in intelligence, risk and security. His experience is founded within the British military, where he spent the majority of his career as an Officer within the Intelligence Corps.

On leaving the military James delivered security consultancy across CNI, applying his expertise to corporate environments, before establishing his own risk management consultancy.

Through his research, James is a thought leader in the security industry in the domain of Generative AI, winning the Association of Security Consultant’s Imbert award in 2025. James combines academic practice with his extensive experience, both within the UK and on operations, to deliver best in class risk advisory.
